Mr. Acosta is an extensively experienced, bilingual/bi-literate licensed professional counselor with over twenty-five years of professional clinical experience. Mr. Acosta is currently in private practice in McAllen, Texas and has worked with medical and law enforcement agencies in the Rio Grande Valley for over fifteen years. Mr. Acosta’s clinical caseload consists primarily of children and adolescents (some adults) with emotional and behavioral difficulties, associated with a variety of psychiatric conditions and environmental factors. Ms. Anna G. Gomez, M.S., is an extensively experienced clinician with vast clinical experience working with adolescents and adults. Mrs. Gomez is primarily a Cognitive Behavioral therapist and has demonstrated her clinical ability to assisting those she treats in improving their quality of lives. CBT can be used to treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Through CBT, one focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors in order to improve mental health. It is based on the concept that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and that we can learn to change our thoughts and behaviors to improve our emotional wellbeing.
Ms. Linda A. Jauregui, M.Ed., LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She obtained her Master of Education in Counseling and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The University of Texas at RGV. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, anger issues, addiction, and self-esteem issues. She has previously worked with adults, children, and adolescents in the juvenile department. She is focused on helping clients reach their personal goals and improve their overall mental health.
Mariel Sanchez M.Ed.LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to assisting her community in navigating lifestyle challenges and achieving personal goals through therapy. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over three years of experience, she is committed and compassionate in her work with individuals, couples, and families. Mariel specializes in addressing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, trauma, and more. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and employs a counseling approach grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and mindfulness techniques, customizing her methods to meet the unique needs of each client.
Mariel is devoted to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can comfortably express themselves. Her aim is to empower clients to gain insight, develop coping strategies, and build resilience, fostering positive changes in their lives. In addition to her therapeutic work, she is passionate about mental health advocacy and community education, regularly participating in professional development to stay updated on the latest research and techniques in the field.
